The service
The Elephant is operated by Bonjour Hat LLC (“we,” “us”), which also sells and bills any premium memberships. It is provided as-is and as-available, and is in active development: features may change and puzzles may be edited. We make no guarantees about uptime, data persistence, or fitness for any purpose.
Your account
Register with a valid email and keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account. One account per person. Don't attack the service, scrape it, or cheat other players; cheating yourself at a word game is your own business.
Your comments
You own what you write. By posting a comment you give us permission to store and display it to other players who've finished that puzzle. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, or that isn't yours to post — comments can be removed and accounts suspended for breaking this.
We email you only to verify your account, reset your password, or tell you about material changes to these terms. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. No marketing, ever.
Changes & ending things
If these terms change materially, we'll say so. You can stop playing anytime or ask us to delete your account entirely. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or other players.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for damages arising from your use of the service. It's a free pun a day; play it like one.
